Audyssey is heading to the Mediterranean. In two weeks, Spain will be abuzz when this planet’s largest showcase and celebration of mobile technology, The World Mobile Congress, opens. Beginning Feb. 27 La Sagrada Familia will be the second most amazing thing in Barcelona. It’s fitting, because much like the Gaudi masterpiece, the world of mobile technology is always progressive, sometimes confusing and never finished. New version updates Denon and Marantz AVRs

Those of you with new model Denon and Marantz units can now have professional installers use MultEQ Pro 3.5 to provide the most sophisticated calibrations for your room. MultEQ Pro is special software that runs on Windows to perform the complicated calculations in a calibration. The extra computing power from the installer’s laptop means that specialized equipment (shown above) can be used and more measurements can be taken for the most precise calibrations possible. Apple TV^® is cool. There is so much to like about the diminutive device that more than a few people have chosen it as a cheaper alternative to cable service. You can enjoy anything on your computer’s iTunes library, plus rent or buy movies and TV shows right from the iTunes store. And don’t forget Netflix movies and TV shows, podcasts, Youtube videos, and MLB.net. While the Treasure Island Music Festival is just four years old, Treasure Island itself has been around since 1938. It was plopped in a shallow part of the San Francisco Bay and deemed unsafe for boaters, yet perfect for land loving developers who thought it would make a great place for an international airport. They brought the dirt and the first big exhibit to pay for it all, the Golden Gate International Exposition. In the Expo’s final week, an enormous concert was held, featuring Judy Garland, Johnny Mercer and Irving Berlin. Then came WWII and the island, for civilians, went quiet.

The Treasure Island Music Festival breathes life back to this cool locale by bringing back the music, the arts, the food and the sense of promise for which the island was built in the first place. (more…)
