Six months ago we announced the first IMAX theaters calibrated with Audyssey MultEQ XT technology (read press release). IMAX’s nXos Calibrator system uses MultEQ XT to capture acoustical information and calibrate the speakers. This ensures great sound and consistent audio theater to theater.
IMAX’s nXos Calibrator and MultEQ XT have now gone global. The first seven theaters to get upgraded sound quality were all in the U.S.. Now, more than 80 theaters have been calibrated in 13 countries including China, Japan, Korea, Russia, Poland, Romania, Germany and the Czech Republic.
